Vehicles from cars to SUVs and motorcycles to trucks, whether with internal combustion engines or battery electric, have two things in common. We depend on them to safely and reliably move people and cargo, and with each generation they are becoming more complex and loaded with electronics.
Many of SMARTsemi DDR2 SDRAMs, DDR3(L) SDRAMs, and eMMC 5.0 FLASH components operate at the wide/automotive (-40°C to +105°C) temperature range.
SMART’s DDR3(L) components are also qualified for Automotive AEC-Q100 Grade 2 applications, meeting the stringent standards and tests for stability, reliability, and longevity.
SMARTsemi memory components operate at temperature ranges specified for automotive passenger cabins including wide/automotive temperature (-40°C to +105°C) or industrial temperature (-40°C to +85°C or +95°C).
Non-critical electronics in the cabin such as controls for windows, locks, and entertainment systems may commonly use industrial temperature grade devices, including any of SMART’s DRAM, FLASH, and FLASH Card components. SMART’s DDR2, DDR3(L), and eMMC 5.0 components are also tested to operate at wide/automotive grade ranges.
In addition to temperature testing, our DDR3(L) devices have also been qualified for AEC-Q100 Grade 2 for use in applications including information, navigation, environmental, and other control systems.
